Islamic habits to reduce negative thinking:
1. No Complaining
Complaining rewires your brain toward negatively bias and strengthens neural pathways for stress. Your mind becomes whatever you repeat. If you keep speaking lack, you start seeking lack everywhere. If you speak gratitude, Allah promises to increases you.
Say alhamdulillah rn!
If you are grateful, I will increase you...
quran 14:7
2. End “What If” Loops
"What if they leave?" "What if I fail?" "What if I lose all my money?"
Shaytan loves hypothetical disasters. They freeze your energy and confuse your heart. Replace "what if" with "qaddarallahu wa ma sha a fa'ala: (Allah has decreed & whatever He wills, He does). Your future is written by qadr, not imagination.
The Prophet SAW-KN said: Do not say "If only I had done such and such'... for 'if' opens the door to the work of Shaytan.

3. The 10-Second Waswasa Rule
you have 10 seconds to decide if a thought leads you closer to Allah or pulls you away from Him. Not every thought deserves attention in your mind.
Most are just passing shadows.
When it happens, say: auddu billahi min ash-shaytani-r-rajim
Read Ayat al-Kursi
Recite Surah al-ikhlas, al-Falaq, an-Nas
These are your mental armor against the enemy (Shaytan)
4. Stop Rehearsing Disasters
Your job is effort. Allah's job is outcome.
Do not grieve; Allah is with us.
quran 9:40
5. Avoid Comparison
Comparison makes you feel behind even when you're blessed. Nothing steals your peace than measuring your life against someone else's. Your tests, your rizq, your timing... it's all tailored for you. Jealousy blinds you to what's already in your hands. Focus on your lane. Allah didn't write your story to look like theirs. You see something you like? Say allahumma barik.
The Prophet SAW-KN said: Look at those below you and do not look at those above you. lest you belittle the favors of Allah.

6. Take a Dhikr Walk Or Get a Dhikr Ring
Or get a dhikr ring. Or use your fingers. Anything that will help you remember. Dhikr is oxygen for your soul. Your best ideas come when your body moves and your heart remembers.
No amount of positive thinking can replace a heart that's distant from its Rabb.
Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.
quran 13:28
